FRAME RATE: Last of the Mohicans (1992)

With the talent of Michael Mann, Daniel Day-Lewis, and Madeleine Stowe, it's hard to go wrong. Punctuated by a beautiful, emotionally resonant score and incredible cinematography, this is a film we return to again and again. Based on the less-than-historically accurate novel by James Fenimore Cooper, this adaptation tells the epic tale beautifully while negotiating issues like the "noble savage" concept and quite a bit of historical exposition.
